Ok i know its been another month or so but i swear i remember that i have a blog. ok lets start with NCYC. NCYC was like the greatest thing ever. there were kids there from i think every single state, except oregon. None of us could find a single person from oregon. Anyway it was awsome, there was a huge concert opening thing on thursday night, and then the next morning there was this awsome talk by this guy who's daughter was in the oklahoma city bombing. That day we went to two sessions (or talks) which were both very good, and that night there was a huge concert with all these bands there. Then on saturday, we went "boothing" there were so very many booths there and it was good. there was another session that day and then another concert and talk that night. Sunday there was mass and then home. It was awsome. Two weekends later it was thanksgiving and i gotta say that there is no greater day than the day you get together with 20-25 people and eat all of the wonderful food that you want. That night we went to our cousins and had dessert, and then (which this could only happen in our family) we started talking at 7:00. Thats pretty normal, a family talk, and we even started on a normal subject, love & relationships. Well if you know my family, you know that we dont have a good talk unless we're debating a topic. So we started on abortion, and on the death penalty, and then on killing out of self defense, and then on the war. I mean we really went at it, and the funny thing is that we agree on just about every topic as it is, but somehow we still manage to make it a debate. Anyway we used so many analogies to describe what we're saying, and the part thats funny is that i'm the one that they always used for example. "Ok, so say joe's priest, and he wants to leave the order, what does he do," or "Ok so a guy's got a gun to joe's head and you have a gun with one shot, do you shoot the guy or do you let him shoot joe," and then my favorite, "ok so joe is hooked up by tubes to this famous violinist, and he has to not leave his bed for 9 months, is it immoral to unplug," yes those were all actually said. anyway we finally left at 11:00 that night with the conversation still going on. I later found out that the same conversation continued until 5:30 that morning. anyway thats just about all thats happend to me. Oh yeah my brother had the greatest day of his life yesterday. When we went to the mall, he got a brand new leather jacket, that same night his girlfriend got home from college, and heres the topper, he got a 2002 Ford F-150 Lariot (truck). yeah his day was awsome. my day, i got to take a chemistry final, oh yeah that really compares. anyway i had two jokes of finals today, Th. arts (yeah thats hard) and english which was a little more challenging but still easy. tomorrow i have Latin and World History and then Friday i have Algebra. well anyway i have to go study for my finals ill try to write more often,
Joe

Wow its been a while,
well I'm back now I know its been like a month since any of you last read my inner most thoughts, so I'm here to give you your fix of me. A lot has happened since my last entry. My brother got married, finally, and is away on his honeymoon in Italy. That's a sweet deal. Get girl to marry you (we don't know how) and then go on a trip to Italy, sounds like fun. So the costume party, or rehearsal dinner whichever you want to call it, was great. My father came as Tavier and my mother came as his wife. They were pretty hilarious, but the best was one of my brothers groomsmen and his wife, they came is my brother and his new wife. It was great he wore a sunbelt plastics shirt (and for anyone who hasn't met me the sunbelt plastics shirt has come to be our family logo) he also stuffed hotel towels in the shirt to make his upper body look big it was hilarious. The other greatest costume was one of my cousins and his wife. They came as SNL Spartan cheerleaders (Will Farrell and Cheri Oteri) and even did a perfect cheer which we taped because it was just that funny night was great, my cousin from New York (who can play the piano making her one of the most talented people in my family) was of course on the piano taking requests of anything from Gershwin's songs from Crazy for You, to Queen's Bohemian rhapsody. Then there was the wedding which was wonderful. After the wedding was a wonderful reception. We were all hanging out singing, dancing, and of course as in any of my family gatherings, lots of food. As the evening wore on, and my brother and his new wife left, I went where else, swimming . Why? Because I have a strange family and we do strange things. So after swimming and a revitilizing sit in the dry sauna I went upstairs to my cousins room and schooled them in the ways of Halo. After beating them to my heart's delight (hehehe) I kinda stopped paying attention during the games and lost ::sigh::. Well then we went back downstairs to sing happy birthday to three of my cousins. In my family we cant just celebrate one event, cause there's practically not a weekend in the year where its not a birthday, anniversary, first communion, etc. I mean, that's impossible with a family my size (and for anyone who doesn't know me there are 56 grandchildren on my moms side alone, yeah were a big Catholic family, what can I say). So after the singing and part of three cakes (which plus groom's cake made four cakes in one night for me) I went back upstairs for some halo. By this time of course we were all hungry again, and why shouldn't we be I mean it was 12:00 am and we hadn't eaten for a couple of hours. So with some help from my aunt who is also my godmother, we ordered pizza. We hang out in the lobby and wait for a half hour or so and bring it back up to a room of nine boys and one girl (all cousins, most from one family) where it was of course, inhaled within 3 minutes or so. I stayed up talking for a while and sometime in the wee hours of the morning I drifted off to sleep, sitting straight up in a chair while my cousins continued playing halo. I did have a nice bed waiting for me just two floors up, but I decided to sleep in the ever-so-comfortable chair in a room with 8 other guys (all cousins of course) We went to Mass the next day and then to breakfast and soon after we all went our separate ways and said the typical "see you at Christmas." It was a great weekend, not much has happened in between then and now but tomorrow I'm going to be leaving for NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference) which should be 4 days of incredibleness that I have been waiting for since June. I will write back then but I think I've developed carpal tunnel Syndrome from typing and need to get that checked out (ha) bye,

P.S. I know most of you have been in agony as to what I went as to the costume party and I went as a Washington Senator (baseball player not a real senator) from Damn Yankees costume courtesy of Klein Highschool, 1997.

hey,
Ok so i went to the renaissance festival today and it was awesome. On the way up there my parents were talking about what they should be for Halloween, cause if i haven't told you yet my brother's rehearsal dinner is on Halloween, so everyone is going in costume. My father decided that he would be Taveir from the movie Fiddler on the Roof, and if you don't know what that is its a movie about this Jewish man in a long time ago and my dad kind of looks like the guy, and we decided that my mom would be the guys wife. They also mentioned that they needed to get their costumes. Ok, now that that's explained i have a rather hilarious story. My family has been going to the Texas renaissance festival since forever, and if you don't know about the renaissance festival (geeze im doing a lot of offtopic explaining), there are a lot of people that go and you know they dress up as if they were in the medieval times. Anyway we have never been one of those families who dress up and stuff cause we've always felt that it really wasnt needed. In fact i had just left some friends that i had met up there, and i had just finished telling them that we never dress up. So i went and found my parents, and i was walking up to the meeting place that we had said and i saw a guy in costume and a woman in costume sitting next to him. I said to myself, "hey, that guy's head looks like my dads, but there is no way that is my dad cause we dont dressup." Of course im wrong, im always wrong. It was in fact my father and mother in full costume. I was shocked. I realize that they were just getting their Halloween costumes. Ok i was shocked beyond reason. I have never seen them dress up ever. It was the most shocking stunning thing i have seen since who knows when. I know this isnt hilarious as i promised, but if you know my parents, seeing them dressed as peasants is possibly one of the funniest experiences i have ever had. And i wasnt emabarassed of them at all to my surprise, i thought if anything like that ever happend i would be embarassed, but i guess i just know that they wont like start wearing chain mail around the house (although i did see many people doing so and it was terrible), its just their Halloween costume. And the worst part is i still dont know what im going to be

Hey,
Have you ever been stuck in a rut, and nothing you do helps you to get out of it? I am right now, i have my daily routine that never changes. i see the same people (dont get me wrong i love my friends and family), i do the same things, i cant seem to focus as well, and im stuck. I hate the feeling. I know everyone gets stuck in a rut every now and then, but i need it to stop. My grades seem to be slipping, but i cant find the focus to bring them up. Its not that im just completely lazy, its just that... i dont know. Oh well anyway sorry about that rant ill be more enjoyable now.
I went to dave and busters today. It was so much fun. Nothing is better than eating a wonderful lunch with your best friends and then playing arcade games with your best friends. oh oh and i get to go to the renaissance festival tomorrow. I love the renaissance festival. it is so much fun, i cant wait, and its a long weekend i couldnt ask for more.

Im finally back, i wanted to get into my old blog and start blogging again but i realized that i had forgotten my name and password so i had to get a new blog. Well ive got a lot of catching up to do. this summer was pretty cool, my family took a two and a half week vacation in an rv. i saw some beautiful places, there were however a couple of drawbacks. i was sleeping on a blow up bed on the "kitchen floor" which was tile. But about the 3rd or fourth day in, it popped, now i dont know if there was like a needle on the ground, or maybe i was just too much for the little bed to handle. i then started to sleep on a little pallet of blankets and my popped bed. so my self esteem is shot because i think im to heavy for the bed and im sleeping on like 4 blankets on the tile floor it was quite hilarious. My brother kindly asked if i wanted to share his couch bed, but i declined seeing as i turn in my sleep causing anyone i sleep next to to be kneed, elbowed, or kicked out of their own bed. the last three nights of this trip were spent in a hotel which is more than somewhat ironic seeing how we were in an rv that is supposed to provide ample sleeping conditions. The engine of this behemoth of a vehicle is situated in the back so that it can push. well unfortunately my parents bedroom is in the back, and when you drive through arizona for 6 hours in the july sun, the back tends to get warm. so warm infact that it was close to 90 degrees in there. this is where my mother stepped in. when this happens she wins, so we stayed in a hotel. it was a good trip, but my father is cured of the dream of one day owning an rv.
